Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who has achieved great fame with the stories she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift developed an interest for music in her early years and quickly progressed from playing in children's shows and then making her first public appearance front of an audience. In 2011, Swift, then 11, sang The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball match. Following that, she started writing songs of her own. Drawing inspiration from country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original music that was a reflection of her experience of tween alienation. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania together with her parents, to Hendersonville, Tennessee when she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to reaching out to label representatives from the country genre.

Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor and board member of SSC since 2011, is the founding co-artistic director of the recently created theater firm Speech of Fire. She has been the artistic director for Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 until 2019.
